In compliance with sections 104 and 104A of the Securities and Futures Act 2001 (“SFA”) and Part III of Securities and Futures (Licensing and Conduct of Business) Regulations (“SF(LCB)R”), we protect your monies and assets by keeping them in client segregated accounts separated from our own with proper record keeping and controls put in place. Section 104A of the SFA provides that monies and assets belonging to customers are not available for payment of USPL debts and shall not be liable to be paid or taken in execution under an order or a process of any court. This means that USPL will never be able to use your funds and assets, even in the very unlikely event that USPL stops operating.

When you transfer money to USPL, your funds are held in a Trust Account with regulated financial intermediaries such as DBS Singapore and HSBC Singapore, kept separate from USPL’s own accounts. Our sub custodian for US securities is a broker-dealer registered with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and member of FINRA and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”), which protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for claims for cash).

All banks and counterparties engaged by USPL to deposit and hold clients' moneys and assets are regulated in their respective jurisdictions and may be members of Exchanges. USPL also performs due diligence on these counterparties to ensure adequate controls are in place to safe keep clients' moneys and assets.

All clients are also free to withdraw their money any time they wish. USPL does not impose any exit penalties or lock-in periods, so clients are genuinely able to access their money any time.

Smart Order is an advanced order type developed by uSMART. It can automatically monitor the market situation and place order according to investor's preset trading strategy and price (trigger price). The order will automatically place if the preset price is reached. It is suitable for investors who need to make a transaction at a specific price or a specific ratio.

uSMART now provides 11 advanced trading order types including Grid Trading Orders, Sell-High, Breakdown Sell, Breakthrough Buy, Buy-Low, Take-Profit, Stop-Loss, Trailing Stop, Price-Order Triggering, TWAP Order, VWAP order.

SMART Plan enables you to subscribe to periodic investment by investing a fixed sum on a regular basis based on your chosen interval from daily, weekly to monthly. This helps you accumulate your investment steadily and progressively.

There are more than 10,000 US & SG stocks/ETF available for SMART Plan. The investment can be funded using the fund in your uSMART trading account, automatic e-GIRO deduction from your bank or combination of both aforesaid deduction method.

With a fixed amount invested periodically, you can buy more shares when prices are low and fewer shares when prices are high. Over time, as you accumulate more shares when prices are cheaper, you will be able to potentially lower the average purchase price per share which known as Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA).

DCA is an investment strategy that may allow you to benefit from the volatile market. Because of the consistent exposure you get to the market, the idea is that you ride out the ups and downs in the long-term and benefit from the market’s upward trajectory.

For Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident and Singapore passholders, you may wish to submit via Singpass > Myinfo. For application submitted via Singpass, as long your information with Myinfo is up-to-date, no additional documents required.

To open a uSMART account, you will need to provide the following:
- Identity document or Passport
- Address proof
- Tax residency and tax identification number (if any)

ID Card accepted for account opening: Singapore, China, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.
Passport: all other nationalities

Documents to use as address proof. Validity of the documents must not be more than 3 months from the date of certification on the documents.
- Bank statements (bank account statements or credit card statements) (or)
- Policy Statements, official receipts or correspondence from insurance companies (or)
- Statement of investment holdings, contract notes/ invoices for investment transactions, corporate announcement notices (e,g. rights issues, subscriptions, dividend payments etc) from securities companies (or)
- Utilities bills, tele-communications bills or billing statements (or)
- Any statements, letters or correspondences issued by the Government that bears the customer’s name and address (for e.g. CPF statements, letters from IRAS, Town Council correspondences etc)

Where client provide e-statements issued by Bank or Government entities or Utility company, certify true copy is not required. All supporting documents must clearly indicate clients’ full name and full address in English.

uSMART Securities Singapore accept fund deposit with the following methods:

For Singapore Dollars (SGD):
- eGIRO
- Paynow
- FAST
- Wise
- BigPay
- Telegraphic Transfer

For foreign currency (USD and HKD):
- Telegraphic Transfer
- Wise
- BigPay

The minimum amount you can withdraw for SGD is 1, for HKD it is 400, and for USD it is 50. The fund arrival time varies based on the bank and usually takes between 1 to 5 business days.

Step 1: Select “Trade” as shown in point 1, select “more” at point 2 and select “Statement”.
