How to open an individual account

Step 1:

On our uSMART SG app, select “Open Account” on the first page. Select “Open Account” again on the next page.

Step 2:

Please register either with your mobile number or Email address (Only 1 registration per mobile number or email address) and select register. On the next page, please select “Get Code” and a verification code will be triggered to your mobile number or email address depending on your registration mode. Enter the “Code” that was triggered and input your preferred password. Once done, please select “Register”.

 

 

Step 3:

Select “Open Account”

 

Step 4:

Please select individual account, follow by your nationality either “Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident” or “Other Identity”.

 

Step 5:

If you are a Singapore Citizen/ Permanent Resident, you may choose to set up the account using “Myinfo”. Alternatively, you may continue set up the account manually.

 

 

For client with Myinfo

 

Step 6:

Please login using Singpass.

 

Step 7:

Click “I Agree” to authorise uSMART SG to extract your particulars from Singpass, please confirm the information extracted from Singpass before selecting “confirmed”.

Step 8:

Input your “occupation” details and “Tax” information and “contact” before selecting “Continue”.

 

Step 9: 

Enter your country of resident and address.

 

Step 10:

Select your Source of Wealth, Income and Wealth and Investment Objective.

 

Step 11:

Please furnish us with the following:

1. Select account type (Select ‘More’ to set up cash account)

2. Select trade category

3. Stock Investment Experience and/or Options Investment Experience

4. Customer Account Review for trading in Structured investment products (SIPs)

4.1 If you have declared that you have undergone and passed SGX learning module or CMFAS Module, please upload the certificate showing the date of passing.

 

Step 12:

Please complete the declaration and read through the Risk Disclosure Statement carefully.

 

Step 13:

Please sign electronically by typing your name in the format as shown below under “Accepted Signature”.

 

Step 14:

Please select the account type you wish to set up and “Confirm”.

 

Step 15:

Please select “Finish”. Your account application has been submitted and we will review on the application. Once the account is set up, you will receive an email notification.

 

 

For Manual application

Step 7:

Select “Continue Manually” or “Other Identity”, please prepare your Identification Document or Passport and address proof and select “Continue”.  

 

Step 8:

Please fill in your information as required.

Step 9:

Please furnish us with the following:
1. Occupation details 
  1.1 Please spell out your company name in full
2. Tax Residency Declaration 
3. Contact details 

  

Step 10:

Please upload your Identification Document.

Please upload front and back copy of your NRIC. For passport holder, only the bio-matrix page is required.

 

Step 11:

Please fill-in your residential address and upload the address proof. All supporting documents must reflect your full name, current address and letterhead. Please note that all supporting documents should be in English.

 

Step 12

Select your Source of Wealth, Income and Wealth and Investment Objective.

 

Step 13:

1. Select account type (Select ‘More’ to set up cash account)

2. Select trade category

3. Stock Investment Experience and/or Options Investment Experience

4. Customer Account Review for trading in Structured investment products (SIPs)

4.1 If you have declared that you have undergone and passed SGX learning module or CMFAS Module, please upload the certificate showing the date of passing.

 

Step 14:

Follow the instruction to complete face verification.

 

Step 15:

Please complete the declaration and read through the Risk Disclosure Statement carefully.

 

Step 16:

Please sign electronically by typing your name in the format as shown below under “Accepted Signature”.

 

Step 17:

Please select the account type you wish to set up and “Confirm”.

 

Step 18:

Please select “Finish”. Your account application has been submitted and we will review on the application. Once the account is set up, you will receive an email notification.
