Football review
On June 11, 2024, at the Rakamangara Stadium in Bangkok, the Thai team held a determined determination to win at home, hoping to beat Singapore to advance to the next round. The Thai team created 35 shots, 13 of which were on target, but only scored three goals. Apart from the slightly misdirected Thai striker, Singapore goalkeeper Hassan Sunny had a lot to do with this result. High and low blocks, flying off walls, the 34-year-old Singapore door god became the final savior of the national football team on this night. After losing 7-0 to South Korea in their last game, no one thought Hassan Sunny's Singapore goal could withstand the Thai onslaught, but they did.
Countless fans gave him a high score of 9.9 points and praised him as "the first goalkeeper in Asia". This is of course a friendly joke from the fans, but it is not a mistake, Hassan Sunny this night did show the best level of goalkeeping performance in Asia.

The saga of Hassan Sunny
Hassan Sunny was born in Singapore on April 2, 1984 to an immigrant family from Malaysia. He only started playing football at the age of 11, initially as a midfielder, but switched to goalkeeper at the age of 12 due to an asthma attack.
Start the career
Hassan started his career at the National Football Academy in Singapore. In 2003, he moved to Geelong United, where he quickly became a first-team regular and was nominated for the Singapore League's Young Player of the Year award.
League and glory
Hasan played for a number of Singapore League teams, winning several league titles and twice winning the Singapore League Golden Glove Award. He is the only player in the history of the Singapore Super League to have won four league titles with four different clubs.
Overseas experience
In 2017, Hasan joined Japanese J3 league team Tottori Hoi Chase Dreams. Despite failing to make an official appearance, he did well in two friendlies for the team, notably against South Korean K-League side Incheon United.
National team honor
Hasan has played for the Singapore national team for 20 years since 2004, helping the team win the Southeast Asian Football Championship three times.

Social media went viral and sparked a craze
After the game, the nasi lemak stall run by Hassan Sunny and his family became a popular time slot for netizens. On Dianping, the restaurant currently has a rating of 3.8, with one Internet user calling it "the must-eat list in Singapore for football fans". In addition, the collection code of the restaurant was also dug up, and many fans began to pay Sonny's nasi lemak stand from the air. On June 14, the football hero opened a personal account on "Today's headlines", expressing his gratitude to fans in Chinese and calling on everyone not to pay him any more money.
